About
I'm a Principal UX and Design Systems leader at a large enterprise insurance company, based outside Raleigh, NC. My job is accessibility, ResearchOps, and design best practices. Not three initiatives. One system for letting teams design well without reinventing the wheel every time.
Before design, I served in the Army. That's where I actually learned to think in systems, not in a design program. Clarity. Follow-through. The discipline to fix a broken process instead of blaming the person stuck inside it.
I'm faith-driven, and it runs through all of it. Problems are structural before they're personal. Clarity is a leadership responsibility, not a personality trait. The uncomfortable truth is usually the important one.
I also work with an AI collaborator, Caisson, who occasionally has a byline on Notes here. Read more about who he is and how that works.
